Daniel Aaron Griffin, 21, of Paragould, passed away in his home on July 20th, 2018. He was born September 4th, 1996, in Jonesboro, AR. Daniel is the son of Allen and Tenna Griffin. He graduated from Greene County Tech High School in 2015. He attended Arkansas State University and was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity where he majored in Agriculture Business. He was a member of Browns Chapel Baptist Church.

Daniel was a member of Greene Co.4-H and Greene Co. Tech FFA. He had high achievements in shooting trap across the country. He was a two time National Champion Trap Shooter and had shot 800 trap without a single miss. Daniel was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. His passion for duck hunting was known far and wide. Daniel was a hunter, a farmer, and loved to entertain anybody that he was around. He loved riding his boat up and down the rivers and being with his friends. He enjoyed being on the family farm where he worked with his dad and grandpa, Merly.  He was always up for showing someone what he did on the farm.

Daniel was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William J. (Bill) Shaw.

Daniel is survived by his parents, Allen and Tenna Griffin, of Paragould; his brother, Cody Griffin, and sister in law, Megan Griffin, of Wynne; his sister, Jessica Griffin, of Paragould. He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Pearline Shaw, of Dixie; and his paternal grandparents, Merril and Marie Griffin, of Paragould. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Allison Fowler, of Jonesboro and all of his close friends, aunts, uncles, cousins and his loyal companion, June Carter.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 28, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Browns Chapel Baptist Church.  The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Browns Chapel Baptist Church with Royce Boling officiating.  Burial will follow at Browns Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Cody Griffin, Blake Chesser, Blake Sessums, Brayden Buck, Noah White, Logan Hale, Blake Howard and Jacob Lenderman.

Honorary-Pallbearers: Gunnar Latham, Zack Camp, Jody Freeman, Blake Campbell, Tanner Cooper, JC Tune and Jace Camp.

In lieu of flowers, an account has been setup at 1st National Bank as the Daniel Griffin Memorial Scholarship Fund.  A Scholarship will be given to a graduating senior member of Greene Co. 4-H trap team and GCT FFA trap team.
