Danny Lee Sims, 70, of Paragould, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020. He was born January 17, 1950, in Paragould, to Thomas and Berta Lou Sims. Danny worked at Emerson Electric for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Above all, Danny loved his family.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darrell Sims; and brothers-in-law, Paul Wheeler, Rick Watson, Terry Watson, and Randy Watson.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Gail Sims of the home; son and daughter in law, Barry and Jessica Sims of Paragould; granddaughter, Cecily Hope Sims; brother, Jamie (Rita) Sims of Virginia; sisters, Jane (Mike) Moudy and Lurene (Rocky) Ricker of Paragould; brother-in-law, Nick (Susan) Watson of Rector; sisters-in-law, Debbie Powers and Vicki (Billy) Mitchell of Paragould; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 30, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Pine Knott Cemetery. The graveside service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Knott Cemetery with Bro. Mel Poe of Union City, TN and Marty Ezell of Paragould officiating.
