Obituary

Dennis Charles Ochs, a man whose laughter was as infectious as his personality was endearing, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, leaving a legacy of joy and kindness. Born on February 24, 1949, in St. Charles, Missouri.

A true lover of the outdoors and an avid sportsman, Dennis could often be found on the golf course, where his spirited play and good-natured ribbing were as much a part of the game as the clubs and the greens themselves. His passion for riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle was matched only by the freedom he found on the open road. Dennis's spirit of adventure and his contagious chuckle turned every ride into an unforgettable journey.

To say that Dennis was the funniest person you ever met would be an understatement. He was a master jokester and prankster, always ready with a quick quip or a clever trick to lighten the mood and bring smiles to the faces of those around him. With Dennis, life was a series of laughter-filled moments, and he had an uncanny ability to find humor in the everyday.

Dennis's warmth extended far beyond his jokes; he was a kind and gentle soul who made an impact on everyone he met. He had the rare gift of making strangers feel like old friends and friends feel like family. His good nature was not just a trait but a way of life, influencing his interactions with all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Berdella Ochs; daughter, Heather Thornhill; son, Rob Pingleton; sister, Joann Zerr; and brother, Mark Ochs.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Lynn Ochs; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Delynda Pingleton; daughter, Stephanie Syberg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert "Bob" and Nancy Ochs and Alan and Chrissy Ochs; sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Jack Riley; grandchildren, Clayton Syberg, Kara Leighton, Jordi Grooms, and Annabella Martin; and great-grandchildren, Eli Wright and Amelia Syberg.
