Don Barr, 77, of Paragould went to be with the Lord Monday, February 20, 2017.  He was born August 1, 1939, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to Woodrow and Marie Barr.  Don was a member of Paragould Missionary Baptist Church.  He served as a deacon and taught Sunday school classes.  Woodworking was a favorite hobby.  He crafted many pieces of furniture for his family.  Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.  Don loved God and his family, dearly.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Barr.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Wanda Barr, of the home; daughters and sons in law, Janet and Lionel Dodd, of Marmaduke, Donna and Elden Haynes, of Marmaduke, and Anna and Kyle Roden, of Paragould; brothers and sisters in law, Bobby and Pat Barr, Danny and Leona Barr, Geary and Cyndi Barr, and Rick and Shannon Barr; sister in law, Maxine Barr; grandchildren, Joseph, Andrew, and Rebecca Dodd, Nathan Haynes, Amber Bowers, and Luke Roden; great grandchildren, Ethan, Abram, Leanne, and Harrison.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Paragould Missionary Baptist Church.  The funeral service will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Paragould Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Brian Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery.
