Donald Ray Briney, JR passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 65. He was born on September 29, 1960.

Donald will be remembered as a life-long farmer whose steady work and dedication shaped much of his life. He also found great joy in the outdoors and in the activities he loved most, including hunting and fishing. He gave generously of his time to others by coaching peewee basketball and football, as well as little league baseball. Those who knew him will remember the care he showed through both his work and the time he spent with family and his community.

Some of Donald’s happiest moments were spent watching and playing with his grandsons. He also enjoyed watching football, a pastime that brought him many good hours and memories. His life was marked by simple pleasures, strong family ties, and a love for being present with the people he cared about.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Briney; his mother, Dianne Briney; his sons, Donald Briney and Jason Briney; his grandsons, Miles Briney and Parker Briney; his brother, Dewayne "Duke" Briney; and his nephew, Banner Briney. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Briney, and his sister, Jeana Briney.
