Donald Ray Smith, 80, of Paragould, passed away from this life on September 17, 2024. He was born on March 26, 1944, to M.A. and Edith Smith. Donald was of Baptist faith and enjoyed going to church. He enjoyed racing and spending time with his dog, Susie. Donald was known for sitting outside at Wal-Mart, meeting and talking with people.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Junior Smith, Curtis Smith, Bob Smith, and Russell Smith.

Survivors include his brother, David Smith; sisters, Wilma Barr, Loretta Fuller, Carolyn Rowland; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 19, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Tim Wooldridge officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.

Ronnie Barr, Kenny Smith, Keith Smith, Darrell Wayne Smith, Kelly Smith, and Boyce Cate will serve as pallbearers.
