Obituary

Donnie was my uncle and my friend. After my father Jodie passed away, Donnie cared for me like a father, teaching me and guiding me. He was the baby of his family but he cared for his father Olden Bishop and his mother Odesa Bishop in their final years with love and kindness that impresses me to this day. His sister married Charles Alvord and, in my mind, they became true brothers. I know that Charles, as all of us, will miss Donnie every day for the rest of our lives. When I think of Donnie, I always think of his wife Bea. She became a sister to me and I know that Donnie loved her more than words will ever describe. God has left us Bea to help us heal and to love. Donnie inspired his family, his nieces and nephews. All love him and he loved them all and all will miss him dearly. Toward the end of his life we talked often and he prepared for his passing thinking of us that he loved dearly. Donnie has spent time teaching us all. I know his grandchildren will always remember the special time he gave freely with love to each of them. Children was his candy, he loved to hear them laugh, I am glad he received time with his great grandchildren and I hope they will feel the love he has for them. He knew hard work very well and he knew fishing. I thought we had more time to grow old and to fish together. He left big shoes to fill and it will take all of us together to never let his bright light of love dim for any one of us. I know more than anything he loved his family. I know more than anything his family loves him.Scott Bishop
