Dora Sunshine (Pillow) Hunter, 99, a lifelong resident of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away on June 13, 2026. She was born to Arthur and Ruth (Bass) Pillow on December 22, 1926. She was a member of the Village Creek Church of Christ. She worked for Security Bank for several years prior to becoming a wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a very outgoing person who loved going to church, talking about the Lord, and gathering with family and friends. She loved reading, working crossword puzzles, playing all kinds of games with her family, and sitting on her front porch waving to passersby. Having a fun-loving personality, she was liked by everyone who met her. The epitome of the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31, she held her family close to her heart, and God even closer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen (to whom she was married 52 years), a daughter Ruth Ann Clark, two infant siblings, three sisters Nina Martin, Gay Watson, and Melba Abney, and a brother Douglas Pillow.

Dora is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Bruce Mobley; son-in-law Mark Clark (surviving spouse of Ruth Ann); grandchildren: John and Jessica Clark, Luke Clark, Chase and Cheyenne (Ray) Mobley, and Joshua Mobley; great grandchildren: Madilyn, Christian, Lexi, and Jax Clark; brothers-in-law Bob Abney and Mervin Hunter; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 16, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Sean Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.
