Dorothy Ann Cole, a cherished matriarch and a beautiful soul, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, at the age of 85 in Paragould, Arkansas. Born on June 9, 1939, in Trenton, Tennessee, Dorothy was a woman whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

Dorothy's life was marked by an unwavering devotion to her family, whom she loved above all else. Her nurturing spirit and generous heart were the cornerstones of countless family gatherings, where her presence alone brought joy and comfort.

An avid lover of the great outdoors, Dorothy found solace and pleasure in fishing and camping. Her happiest moments were often found in nature, with a fishing rod in hand. These simple joys were reflections of Dorothy's appreciation for life's blessings.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Sarah Howell; husband, Jack Cole; siblings, Noah Howell, John Howell, JoAnn Benthal, and Sadie Cole; son-in-law, Danny Goad; and five grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Timothy Cole (Tina), Sara Griffin (Bryan), Tommy Cole (Teresa), Anita Gaylord, Lisa Jenkins, Patricia Goad, Johnny Cole (Carrie), Jackie Cole (Kathy), and Kristy Quinn (Mark); sister, Freida Henderson; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 9, from 11 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home.  A funeral service will begin at noon at Phillips Funeral Home with Tracy Archibald officiating.  Burial will follow at Warren's Chapel Cemetery.

Johnny Cole, Wesley Poore, Leroy Poore, T.J. Cole, Zachary Watson, and Dakota Quinn will serve as pallbearers.  Blake Maynard, Adam Morgan, Justin Ramer, and Kenneth Gaylord  will serve as honorary pallbearers.
