Dorothy Jean Edwards, 78, of Paragould, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was born January 26, 1944, to Herman and Mary Riggs. Jean loved to read, watch American Idol, and HGTV. She was very creative with painting, making scrapbooks, and photograph books. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids and she played a very important role in their lives. Above all, Jean loved her family.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bob Riggs; and sister, Patti Riggs.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Edwards; son, Blake Edwards; daughters, Deanna Beth Edwards, Kelley Randleman (Jake); brother, Mike Riggs; sister, Barbara Cox; grandchildren, Alex Edwards, Jake Edwards, Meredythe Edwards, Chance Edwards, Bryan Jones, Jr., Blaize Randleman, Reese Randleman, and Jenna Randleman; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 7, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

The family kindly asks that masks be worn at all times while inside the building.
