Dorothy Lavett (Smith) Kappelman, 76, of Paragould, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She was born September 12th 1936 to John and Edith Smith. Dorothy loved Cardinals Baseball, gardening and canning. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ.She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, O.H. Kappelman and her sister, Wandel West.Survivors include her sons: Jeff and Chris Kappelman of Paragould, Bothers: Doyle Smith of Illinois and Hollis Smith of South Carolina; Sister, Wilma Jean Garza of Dallas,Texas and Velma Hendrix of Paragould, and Grandchild Reed Kappelman.Visitation will be Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 10 am to 12:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould. The service will follow at 12:00 noon in the Center Hill Chapel with Kevin Edgar officiating. Pallbearers are Micheal Huckabee, Bob Lashley, Brian Fuller, Mike McIlvoy, Brad Hester, Jeff Hudson, John Starling.
