Douglas Houston Phillips, 77, of Paragould, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. He was born February 16, 1945, to John and Lena Phillips. Doug was an Army Veteran that served in the Vietnam War. After serving in the Army, he served in the National Guard for many years. Doug worked until retiring at Emerson after 31 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Martha; brother, Charles; and god granddaughter, Alisha Cashion.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Barbara Phillips; daughter, Shelly Edwards (Michael); god daughter, Marla Cashion; brother, Frank Phillips; sisters, Barbara Pitcher, Alice Phillips; and grandchildren, Christopher Edwards and Caden Edwards; and god granddaughter, Audri Cashion.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Danny Johnson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
