Earl Calvin Thompson - September 23, 2012 Earl Calvin Thompson, 72 of Paragould passed away on September 23, 2012 at his residence. He was born October 13, 1939 to the late Earl Immanuel and Mary Ruby Thompson. Earl loved car racing, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Rose Chapel Baptist Church and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. An electrician by trade, he worked for Weil McLain Industries for thirty years.Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Robert Lee Thompson.Earl is survived by his spouse, Colene (Brown) Thompson; one son, Tim Thompson; one daughter Connie Burgess; three brothers, Charles, Cleatius, and Carl Thompson; two sisters, Deloris Thompson and Kay Woodall; two grandchildren, Heather and Timothy Thompson; one great-grandson, Timothy Caden Thompson.The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26 at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Glen Hoselton officiating. Burial will follow at the Pine Log Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Billy Pendergrass, Chris Mason, Jimmy Rogers, William Boatman, Bobby Boatman, and Jamie Lisk. Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of Rose Chapel.
