May 6, 1972 – June 10, 2026
Eddie Book, born on May 6, 1972, in Columbia, Missouri, passed away on June 10, 2026, in Elko County, Nevada. Eddie was a devoted truck driver who cherished the freedom and adventure found along the open road.
Eddie’s life was richly colored by his close relationships and simple pleasures. He was especially fond of spending time with his son, Brennan. Together, they shared many cherished weekends filled with meals at Casa Brava and explorations along the quiet back roads. These moments remain a lasting memory for all who knew him. Eddie also enjoyed scratching off lottery tickets, a hobby that brought him a modest thrill and reflected his hopeful spirit.
Eddie is survived by a loving circle of family and friends. His mother, Martha Powers, and sons—Brennan Book, Camden Wilson (Gracie), and Dalton Mitchell. Heather Wilson, his best friend and mother of his son Brennan, shared in the joys and challenges of life alongside Eddie. His brothers Rick Book, Everett McCracken, and Mark McCracken, aunts, Burlene Anthony and Shirley Sanders, cousins, Tammy Laws, Sabrina Adkins, Matthew Sanders, Sarah Sanders, and David Sanders, and sisters-in-law Melanie Montgomery (Shawn) and Rebecca Book, along with in-laws Rebecca Maxwell, Bill Davis, and Melvin Ward, also lend their hearts in remembrance. The family eagerly anticipates the arrival of his granddaughter, Willow Grace, a symbol of continuing hope and love. Eddie’s circle was further enriched by close friends Doug and Brenna Dent and many extended family members and friends who hold him in affectionate memory.
Eddie’s father, Richard W.C. Book, and his uncles, Jim Anthony and Dale Sanders, preceded him in death.
