Edward Dwight Caster, 67, of Paragould passed away last week. He was born on September 10, 1947 in Red Bluff, CA to the late Charles Edgar Caster and Blanche Elizabeth McMains. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1968. He was a Vietnam Veteran. Dwight went on to become a Patrol Sergeant with the Paragould Police Department and also worked with Youth Services as an outreach case worker. His last years were spent as a Security Officer. He served as a Scoutmaster for fourteen years with Boy Scout Troop 99. While doing this, he founded Cub Scout Pack 99. He was involved with the scouting program for 38 years.Preceding him in death were his parents; and Judi Lee Todd, his wife of thirty seven years.Dwight leaves behind two brothers, Edwin Arnold Caster and David Wayne Caster; one sister, Ella Fay Caster; six nephews; a number of great nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends.A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home.
