Edward Lloyd Oden, 70, of Paragould, passed away February 17, 2016 at his home. He was born October 12, 1945 in Picture, Oklahoma to the late William Thomas and Oaney Oden. Known as "Living Legend" at the track, Edward enjoyed derby car racing. He was also a member of the New Bethel Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Bobby Ray, William Earl, Wayne and James Oden; sister, Delorie Potter; infant daughter, Lorinda Oden.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Sue Oden; sons and daughters in law, Ross and Sabrina Oden, Tommy and Teresa Oden, Kenny Oden, and Terry and and Cathy Brannon; daughters, Terna Patrick and Robin Hallstead; brother, Larry Oden; sisters, Bertie Oden and Laura Gibbs; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Phillips Funeral Home from noon – 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Phelps officiating. Burial will be in Pine Log Cemetery.
