Ellere Johnston, 82, of Paragould went to Heaven on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born on March 9, 1932 to the late Floyd and Delila May Hackworth in Leachville, Arkansas. Mrs. Johnston was a member of Grace United Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Leroy Johnston; one son, Rickey Leroy; two grandsons, Chad and Brad Dawson; one great grandson, James Wilcox; five brothers, Amos, Elmo, Darrel, Winford and Doyle; three sisters, Cleo, Dorothy and Sharon. She is survived by three sons and daughters in law, Dennis and Dianne Johnston, Elmo and Karen Hackworth and James and Lana Hackworth; three daughters and sons in law, Brenda and Kenny Lowe, Pam and Leroy Ellis and Melinda and Rick Dawson, all of Paragould; foster daughter and son in law, Akiko and Scott Cardille of Coronedo, California; one brother, Paul Hackworth; three sisters, Gertrude Cox, Lois Moderelli and Barbara Smith; 22 grandchildren; and 43 great grandchildren.The family will receive friends from Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Dennis Strope officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens.
