Ernest Raymond Rice, 78, of Paragould, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. He was born April 30, 1944, to Garland and Alta Rice. Ernest worked until retiring from Emerson Electric and Boling Security. He was an Air Force Veteran and a member of the Cockren Church of Christ. Ernest was full of life, loved to have fun, and was always the life of the party.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jacqueline Kay Rice; daughter, Vanessa Lynn Rice; brothers, Franklin Rice, Everett Rice, Ira Rice, Ronnie Rice, Tommie Rice; and sister, Etta Marie Rice.
Survivors include his son, Ernest Rice, Jr.; brothers, Rex Rice, Paul Rice; and sisters, Evelyn Phillips, Patsy Wolfrey, Nancy Standley, and Judy Cook.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 18, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. A graveside service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will be on Saturday, November 19, at 10:00 a.m. at Cardwell Cemetery.
