Eugene "Gene" Pruitt, 76, of Paragould, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017, at his residence.  He was born July 6, 1940, in Cherry Valley, to Oscar and Marie Pruitt.  Gene enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, and spending time with his cat, Angel.  He was a beloved father and grandfather that will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gail Pruitt; brothers, Clyde and Oscar "Junior" Pruitt; sister, Lena Pruitt; and great great granddaughter, Marley Reeves.

Survivors include his daughters and sons in law, Bonnie and Tony Whitlock, and Tammy and Chris Hess; brothers, Butch and James Pruitt; sisters, Linda Bates, Carolyn Pruitt, Loretta Rohner, and Cathy White; grandchildren, Brandi Kahanek, Michael Pruitt, and Hunter Siddons; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, at Finch Cemetery with Terry Songer officiating.
