Eugene F. Widmer, 94, of Paragould, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019, at his home. He was born March 25, 1925, to Fred and Emma Widmer of Paragould. Eugene was a "dirt farmer" which he loved very much. He worked at Emerson for several years and was a Korean War Veteran.  Eugene married Freddie Jean Huckabee in 1951, where they shared 67 wonderful years together.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Margaret Tillman, Anita Mae Martin; and brother, Sonny Boy.

Survivors include his wife, Freddie Widmer; son and daughter in law, Phillip and Anne Widmer; sister, Alma Cox; grandchildren, Jacob, Kary Widmer, Matthew Widmer, Nicholas Widmer; great-granchildren, Stephen Widmer, Darah Tounsand, Kaiser Widmer; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 24, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home.

Dennis Cox, Joe Cox, Tony Passard, Rick Wooldridge, Jacob Widmer, and Larry Humphrey will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Jerry Terry, Butch Daniels, and Charles Martin
