Evelyn Ricker, 67, of Paragould, passed away August 17, 2016, in Searcy, Arkansas.  She was born December 28, 1948, in Maynard, Arkansas, to the late Charlie and Jessie Scherrer.  Evelyn was very artistic and enjoyed painting and singing gospel hymns.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Pete Ricker; brothers, Billy, Johnny, J.C., and Irvin Scherrer; sisters, Mary McElhaney, Bonnie Thatch, and Martha Armstrong.

Survivors include her sons and daughter in law, Kenny Rouse, Jimmy and Tammy Rouse; daughters and son in law, Jennifer and Bobby Joe Witcher, Robin Frost; brother, Darrell Scherrer; sister, Cora Martin; grandchildren, Mitchell Taylor, Jamie Rouse, Jesse Rouse, Joseph Frost, Jessica Frost, Dustin Frost, Austin Witcher, Gunner Witcher, Maddy Witcher, Baylee Witcher, and Kenny Riley; and 6 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Martin, David Spurlock, Austin Witcher, Dustin Frost, Gunner Witcher, and Joseph Frost. Honorary pallbearers will include Jeremy Witcher and Isiah VanDon

The family will receive friends Friday, August 19, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.
