Frances Mae Mitchell, 83, of Marmaduke, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023. She was born July 2, 1940, to Clifford and Nellie Barnhart. Frances' grandchildren called her "Red", and she enjoyed traveling. She loved fishing, family get togethers, and Christmas was her favorite time of the year.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Mitchell; parents, brothers, Danny Barnhart, Jerry Barnhart, James Barnhart; grandchild, Andrew Mitchell; and great-grandchild, Nolan Fletcher.

Survivors include her children, Scott Mitchell (Charlene), Tammy Beaver, Jerome Mitchell (Leslie), Lisa Fletcher (Jack), Dale Mitchell (Rebecca); grandchildren, Whitney Garner (Jake) , Zach Mitchell, Madison Mitchell, Brittany Flanigan (Scott), Lindsay McCoy (Chad), Kelsey Abbott (Nick), Jeremy Mitchell, Josh Mitchell, Jessica Mitchell, Casey Fletcher (Isha), Amy Miller (Caleb), Josie Fletcher, Teddi Mitchell; and great-grandchildren, Spencer Garner, Khloe Garner, Jordan Mitchell, Dylan Flanigan, Kyle Flanigan, Oliver McCoy, Alex Abbott, Jovie Abbott, Carlie Campbell, Gwynn Fletcher, Valyn Fletcher, and Jack Miller.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Monday, December 4, at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Stan Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery.

Jeremy Mitchell, Josh Mitchell, Zach Mitchell, Casey Fletcher, Jacob Garner, and Scott Flanigan will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Andrew Mitchell, Caleb Miller, Chad McCoy, and Nick Abbott.
