Gary Dale Bennett, 75, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024. He was born October 17, 1948, to Horac and Vaudie Bennett. Gary was a kind, gentle, and very faithful man. He enjoyed doing all sorts of crafts and was a journeyman painter.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; son, Christopher Main; and sisters, Judy Boyd and Carol Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Elgina Bennett; son, Josh (Beth) Bennett; daughter, Sarah Griffin; sister, Sarah Soares (Stan); grandchildren, Morgan Flemming, Chris Main, Bo Main, Ashton Caviness, Whitney Caviness, Taylor Farris, Jon Griffin, Emily Griffin; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 4, from 2:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Billy Pearson officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.
