Obituary


Gary Gray, age 54 of Paragould, passed away on Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Gary was born January 21, 1967, in Paragould , Arkansas to Homer and Deonna Gray.
Gary was a graduate of Arkansas State University and Stanford High School. Gary started his full-time career with Tenneco on August 26, 1986, and spent the majority of his 34 years in Department 22 as a Toolmaker/Fabricator. He became a group leader in the support area on September 7, 2015. At the time of his death he was first shift group leader in Department 10–rods.
Gary made friends easily and is remembered by those who knew him as having a quick wit. He was always ready with a joke and a smile to brighten your day. We will all remember his contagious laugh.
As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and kayaking.
Gary was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Wilma Gillean, and his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Francis Gray.
Gary is survived by his best friend and wife, Millie Camp Gray, his parents, Deonna and Homer Gray, his children, Heather (Josh) Jeter of Paragould, Hannah Gray of Paragould, and Holly (Jackson) Hailey of Arizona. Gary had four grandchildren, Harper, Maggie, and Kali Jeter of Paragould and Jameson Hailey of Arizona. Gary is also survived by his brother, Michael (Laura) Gray, and a loving nephew, Seth Gray, all of Paragould as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends and co-workers.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 10:30-12:00, with the funeral service to begin at 12:00. All services will be held at Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould, Arkansas with officiant Bro. David Stallings. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery on Commissary Rd.
Pall bearers will be Terry Forkum, Rex Morton, Josh Whitaker, Garrett Gill, Seth Gray, and Terry Gray.
The family requests memorials be made to Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR.
