Donnie Gene Reynolds, Jr. passed away on December 13, 2025, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born on March 30, 1963, in Paragould, Arkansas, to Donnie Gene Reynolds, Sr. and Beverly (Carpenter) Reynolds.  He was raised in Marmaduke and attended the Marmaduke First United Methodist Church, where his mother played the piano.  Gene dedicated 41 years of service at Monroe, where he not only built a career but also forged lasting friendships.

Gene was a man of the outdoors, finding solace in the companionship of his beloved dogs. An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, he was most at home in the open air. His passion for nature was matched only by his compassion for animals, as he opened his heart and home to numerous strays, providing them with the love and care they so desperately needed.

A devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team and the Arkansas Razorbacks, Gene's love for sports was a joy that he shared with friends and family alike. While watching a game on television, his enthusiasm was infectious.

Gene was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Reynolds, and grandparents, William and Edna Reynolds and Adam and Frances Carpenter.

Survivors include his father, Donnie Gene Reynolds, Sr.; sons, Eric Reynolds and Robbie Reynolds (Tiffany); brothers, Brian Reynolds (Laura) and Chris Reynolds; grandchildren, Jace Jackson, Brock Reynolds, Madison Reynolds, Nico Reynolds, Paige Reynolds, Kaci Reynolds, Aubrey Reynolds, Brayden Fisher, and Brody Fisher; many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 16, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Bro. Kim Bridges and Bro. Wayne Baldwin officiating.  Burial will follow at Harvey's Chapel.

Eric Reynolds, Robbie Reynolds, Jace Jackson, Brock Reynolds, Brian Reynolds, and Brett Reynolds will serve as pallbearers.  Chris Reynolds and William Reynolds will serve as honorary pallbearers.
