George Alden Smith, 78, of Paragould, passed away February 27, 2016 in New Boston, MI. He was born, August 8, 1937, in Midland County, Michigan to the late Glen and Pearl Smith.  George enjoyed keeping up with current events and math.  He was a Christian man who had been saved for many years.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Glen and Pearl Smith; wife, Tina "Sue" Copeland; brothers, Williford, Gerald, Don, and Daniel Smith; sisters, Virginia and June.

Survivors include his sister in law and brother in law, Fran and Lavern Russom; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 2, 2016, from 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 3:00p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Wayne Faulkner officiating.  Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jim Smith, Terry Russom, Todd Russom, Jason Russom, Craig Russom, Bryant Copeland, Ronny Copeland, and Mike Garred.
