Glenda Rose Bateman, 73, of Paragould, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020. She was born December 26, 1946, to Sherman and Pauline Hale. Glenda married her husband, Jimmy on March 3, 1967 and was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Jimmy Wayne Bateman; daughters and son in law, Donna Hagar, Diana and Tommy McCarty; son and daughter in law, Kenny and Kristy Bateman;  brother, Jimmy Hale; sisters, Effie Hale, Mary Branscum; grandchildren, Nick Galczynski, Kristen Galczynski, Lindsay Bateman, Katlyn Hass; and great-grandchildren, Anna Galczynski and Madison Galczynski.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 14, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15, at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Don Slatton officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.
Jason Hale, Barry Branscum, Michael Branscum, Tim Bateman, Rick Bateman, and Danny Hampton will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Dale Mullikin, Jerry Bateman, and Charles Herrod.
