Gwindol "Wendy" Grooms, 77, of Paragould, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019. He was born November 4, 1942, to Jessie and Lena Grooms. He loved NASCAR racing, Mark Martin was his favorite driver. He had a great sense of humor and was a farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Gwindol was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robbie Grooms; brothers, Jimmy Grooms, Bud Grooms, Charles Grooms; and sister, Etta Mae Rone.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Katie Grooms; sons and daughters in law, Robert and Sarah Grooms, Terry and Karen Grooms; daughters and sons in law, Lisa and Mark Phillips, Freda and Joey Hancock, Robin Grooms; brother, J. L. Grooms; sisters, Bonnie Pitcher, Shirley Jacks, Donna Couch; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, from 5:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Rick Ethridge officiating.
