Harold Dowler, 89, of Lafe, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022. He was born September 26, 1932, to Bert and Ruth Dowler. Harold worked for 34 years until retiring at General Motors. He was and an Army Veteran and a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ida Dowler; daughter, Pamela Dowler; son, Bert Dowler; and eleven brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his son, David Dowler (Peggy) of Chapel Hill, TN; brother, Larry Dowler; sister, Cheryl Jones; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 14, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at St. John's Lutheran Church. The funeral service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will begin at 3:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Aaron Neugebauer officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery.
Jacob Dowler, Cody Dowler, Dillon Dowler, Danny Dowler, David Dowler, Greg Brasher, and Blake Brasher will serve as pallbearers.
Lasting memorials may be made to the St. John's Building Fund.
