Harriet Jane Williams, 86, of Paragould, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023. She was born December 2, 1936, to Arthur and Rhoda Pickett. Harriet was a school teacher at Greene County Tech for 30 years and was loved by so many of her students. She loved the Lord and was always watching her favorite preachers and reading her bible. Harriet loved her grandchildren so much and was a perfect granny in all of our eyes. She worked at Walmart for several years after she retired from teaching and always loved talking to old friends. She always had a smile when you would see her. She loved Facebook so that she could keep up with her friends and find new recipes. She loved talking on the phone to Becky, Mary Ellen, Joan, and Berty.
Harriet was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Karen Sue Gramling.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Randal Elwyn Williams; son, Doug (Dana) Williams; son-in-law, Scott Gramling; sister, Mary Ellen Tweed; grandchildren, Abby (Jonathan) Knox, Shana (Ryan) Cupp, Luke Williams, Kelsey (Derek) Matheney; great-grandchildren, Maggie Mae Cupp, Carter Matheney, Hunter Matheney, and a great-grandchild expected in June, William Douglas Cupp.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 22, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Luke Williams. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Doug Williams, Abby Knox, Shana Cupp, Luke Williams, Ryan Cupp, and Jonathan Knox will serve as pallbearers.
