Harry LeRoy Manthey completed his lifes journey Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at home. An Army Veteran, he was born on June 6, 1948 to Gilbert and Gladys (Wooliver) Manthey in San Gabriel, CA. He was a retired maintenance machinist of 41 years from Martin Sprocket and Gear. He was a Christian and worshipped with the Walcott Church of Christ. He loved GOD, Family, and Country. Harry was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, David Manthey of Enid, OK; one neice, Suzanne Gibbs; one nephew, Brewster Fears and Father-in-law, Pete Fears. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Diana Manthey of the home; one son, Gannen Manthey of Wynne, AR; one brother, Gilbert Manthey of San Carlos, CA and Mother-in-law, Lois Fears of Springfield, MO. Neices and nephews and his special girls, Lou Ellen and Emma Sweeney and pals, Braden and Peyton Glenn. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Phillips Funeral Home. Service will follow at 1:00 pm with Sam Becerra officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. Darrell Pillow, J.W. Rawis, Larry Hooten, Mike Chastain, Ronnie Slatton and Phillip Harrell will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Ford, Tom Gawf, David Claton, Herbie Lane, Larry Kitchens, Weldon Williams and Onis Summers.
