Helen (Eubanks) Funk passed from this life Monday, February 20th at St. Bernard's Medical Center.She was born July 22nd, 1933 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Neal and Neva Eubanks. As a small child, Helen, her parents and older sister Afton, often traveled to Arkansas where the family started a dairy farm. While attending Harding University, she met John Funk and they married December 24th, 1953. Helen attended the Memphis College of Arts and also participated in art workshops in Boone, North Carolina and Cincinnati, Ohio. Over the years, several banks purchased her paintings. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Neva Eubanks; sisters, Afton Brennan and Elizabeth Acuff.Survivors include her husband, John; daughter and son-in-law, JoAnna and Jeff Hyde; many dear cousins and precious friend of 65 years, Sue Cline Those wishing to send lasting memorials are asked to consider Children's Homes of Paragould, Crowley Ridge Academy or charity of choice.Visitation will be from 10:30 – 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012 with funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Danny Eubanks officiating. Burial will be at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
