Mary Helen YatesNovember 8, 1941 - February 19, 2015 Mary Helen Yates, 73, of Paragould passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. She was born November 8, 1941 at Williamsville, Mo to Alfred and Margie Hillis. Helen was an avid seamstress and embroider. She enjoyed oil painting and ceramics. Helen loved to garden and can vegetables. She also enjoyed fishing.Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Sue Anderson; and granddaughter, Jamie Ashton Yates. Helen is survived by her husband, Othniel "Soney" Yates of the home; sons, Niel Yates and James Yates and his wife Amanda, all of Paragould; daughter, Lynn Aronson and her husband, Dave, of Paragould; brothers, Steve and Jeff Hillis; sisters, Clara and Christine Clubb; and grandchildren, Crystal, D.J., Sam, Breanna, Koda, and Jaden.The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015, at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10:00a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Orville Hill and Art Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
