Herbert Ray West - September 24, 2013 Herbert Ray West - September 24, 2013 Herbert West, 66 passed away Tuesday, September 24,2013 at his home under the care of Dierkson Hospice. He was born on October 19, 1946 to Mark and Bertha West. He was a retiree from Emerson Electric and part owner of The Rib Shack. He loved to fish, hunt, play cards and spend time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Hendley West; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Jerry Mitchell of Hornbeck, LA and Martha and Randy Johnson of Paragould, AR; a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Melody West of Paragould, AR; three brothers, Don West of Midland, TX, Robert and Joe West of Paragould, AR; two sisters, Mary Jane Bresna of Paragould, AR and Dorothy Wilson of Saint Louis, MO; Grandchildren, Keith and Wendy Castleman of Jonesboro, AR, Cynthia and Justin Welch of Hornbeck, LA, Betty Mitchell of Hornbeck, La, Cagen West, Whitney West, Cheyenne Johnson, Madison Johnson and Brooklyn Johnson all of Paragould, AR; Great Grand Children, Drake and Dirk Castleman of Jonesboro, AR; and a beloved pet (dog-Thelma)He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Bill, Joe Lee, Samuel, Jim, Mark C., Danny West and CC Carpenter; three sisters, Earline Ivy, Patty Eaton and Betty Williams; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Goldie Hendley. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 am Thursday, September 26, 2013 in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home.
