Hermon David Barber passed away September 15, 2016 at Belle Meade Healthcare.  He was born March 27, 1954, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to the late Eugene and Nelda Barber.  Hermon was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Hermon was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Cathy Hendrix and Joann Koster; brother, Gene Barber.

Hermon is survived by his wife, Mary Barber; sons, David Barber and his wife, Michele, Brandon Barber, and Darren Barber; daughters, Stacy Lloyd and her husband, Brian, Tracy Morris, Tonya Russell, and Leah Stormes; brothers and sisters, Harold and Phyllis Barber, Jimmy and Brenda Barber, Patricia and Alfred Forehand, Debbie Cobb, and Lora Hitt; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until noon Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at noon in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Mike Archer officiating. Burial will follow at Rutherford Cemetery.
