Jean Kennemore Exum, 67, of Paragould went to be with the Lord Monday, October 19, 2015.  She was born, October 20, 1947, at Light, AR to Darrell and Hazel Kennemore.  Jean was a long time member and song leader at Light Baptist Church.  She taught English for 37 years at Stanford and Westside Schools.  Jean loved being with her family and she especially enjoyed all the precious moments she shared with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 43 years, Marvin Exum; sister, Ruthie Mae Kennemore.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Michael and April Exum; daughter and son in law, Ersula and Michael Bruner; brother, Frank Kennemore; sisters, Golvie Light, Bonnie Beasley, and Kay Coates; and grandchildren, Christian, Gracelyn, and Cameron Bruner; Jayden and Kaleb Exum.

The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2015, in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Courtney Schmidt officiating.  Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery.

Chad Coates, Ramey Lovan, Jarrod Coates, Derek Exum, Eric Isbill, and C.W. Exum will serve as pallbearers.  The men of Light Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
