Hildred "Grammie" Beatrice Gilmore, 102, of Paragould, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023.  She was born September 23, 1920, in Beech Grove, to John and Viola Scobey.  Hildred was the manager of Environmental Services at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center for many years, then she worked at Belle Meade and retired at the age of 80.  She enjoyed traveling  and yard work.  Her infectious laugh and joke telling was a delight to all.  Hildred was a member of Beech Grove Methodist Church and for the last several years attended First Freewill Baptist Church.  Hildred loved her family dearly and spending time with her sisters and friends brought her much joy.

Hildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Owen; daughter, Jane Breckenridge; son-in-law, Jim Bryant; nine brothers and sisters; and three great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Judy Bryant and Dennis (Donna) Owen; sister, Anna Boyd of Flint, Michigan; son-in-law, Russell Breckenridge; grandchildren, Terry Bryant, Carmi (George) Cotros, Keith (Karen) Bryant, Jeff (Laura) Breckenridge, Russ (Sonya) Breckenridge, Beth (Chris) Gray, Lee (Shelley) Owen, Greg Owen, and Casey (Destiny) Owen; seven great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 25, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Wooldridge officiating.  Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery.
