IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hunter
Thomas, Jr.
August 28, 1961 – December 24, 2025
Hunter Thomas, Jr., a man of deep faith and enduring love for his family, passed away surrounded by his family on December 24, 2025, at his home in Paragould, Arkansas. Born on August 28, 1961, in the small town of Ingalls, Arkansas, Hunter's early years were steeped in the values of hard work and the joys of simple living.
Hunter was the proud owner and operator of Thomas Lawn Care, a business that he built with his own hands and a testament to his dedication to his craft. He was not just meticulous with the landscapes he tended to, but also with the relationships he cultivated with his clients. He took immense pride in his work.
Music and faith were Hunter's twin refuges. He was a gifted guitarist, often gracing his church's congregation with his talents. Hunter's spiritual life was the cornerstone of his existence, guiding his actions and his unwavering commitment to his family and friends.
Above all, Hunter cherished the time spent with his beloved grandchildren. Each moment with them was treasured, filled with laughter, storytelling, and lessons that only a grandfather could impart.
Hunter was preceded in death by his parents, Hunter Thomas, Sr. and Gloria Johnson Thomas; sibling, Carroll Gilbert; and son, Jeffrey Allred.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Phyllis Thomas; children, Hunter L. Thomas (Chris), Alan Allred, Jr. (Nacole), and Eric Allred (Anna); like a son, Matthew Bennett; daughter-in-law, Marisol Allred; siblings, Willie Jean Hampton, May Miles, Rosie Thomas, Shelly Thomas, and Lisa Dale Thomas; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
