Obituary

Ihrondia Jean Carroll, 72, of Lafe, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. She was born July 20, 1950. Ihrondia worked at Darling for 18 years and worked at Emerson for 13 years until retiring. She was of Baptist faith and a member of Providence Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved chasing after her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ihrondia was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Louise Farmer; husband, Nelson Carroll; son, Nelson Eugene Carroll; brothers, Anthony Dean Eckles, Carlos McGhee, Elmer McGhee; grandmother, Ola Hampton; and nephews, Glenn Gibson and Sean Oden.
Survivors include her daughters, Pamelia Snyder (Tony) of Lafe; Karen Hamilton of Lafe and David Hamilton of Corning, special family friend and like a son, Tommy McCrory of Lafe; brothers, Kenny McGhee, Gary McGhee; sisters, Donna Martens (Dave), Lula Fike (Farrell); grandchildren, Justin Snyder, Craig Snyder (Kareena), Shawn Snyder (Sam), Lauren Arender (Brant), Morgan Carroll, Lindsay Waldon, Quentin Stallard, Taylor Hamilton, Dawson Hamilton; and great-grandchildren, Emmie, Addison, Natalie, Donald Ray, Aireyana, Barrett, Katie Mae, Jaxon, Everleigh, and one on the way.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 22, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Unity Baptist Church. The funeral service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church with Chad Robinson, Don Slatton, and Kim Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Hartsoe Cemetery.
