Jackie Shatley, 79, of Paragould, passed away October 22, 2021, in Paragould.  He was born July 21, 1942, in Paragould, to Vern and Ida Shatley.  Jackie loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his friends, Bro. Wayne Faulkner, Carroll Childress, Archie Hunt, and Larry Price.  Above all, Jackie loved and cherished his family.

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tommy Shatley; sisters, Rose Sechrist, and Corene Howard; great-grandson, Jaycee Higgins.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Donna Shatley; sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan and Marcy Shatley, Dustin and Amber Shatley; daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca Higgins, Wayne Higgins, Rhonda Shatley, Brittni and Mitchell Holcomb; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Christ, June and Bobby Burns, Connie and Jim Knee; 15 grandchildren;  23 great-grandchildren; honorary sons, Phillip Strickland and Michael Strickland.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 25, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  The celebration of Jackie's life will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 26, at Lake Street Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Faulkner and Jody Faulkner officiating.  Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.

Dustin Shatley, Steven Higgins, Jonathan Higgins, Daren Higgins, Phillip Strickland, and Wayne Higgins will serve as pallbearers.  Chris Shatley, Akious Shearer, Devon McDonald, and Austin McDonald will serve as honorary pallbearers.
