Obituary

Jade Allison Burlingame, age 30, passed away on January 13, 2025, in Paragould, Arkansas. Born on May 8, 1994, in Rome, New York, Jade's adventurous spirit and compassionate soul touched the lives of all who knew her.

Jade spent her formative years as a military child, a background that imbued her with a strong sense of community and an ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She never met a stranger, approaching each new encounter with an open heart. Her fearless nature and creative spirit were evident in all she did.

A dedicated employee at Greenbrier, Jade's work ethic and commitment to service were unparalleled. But her contributions extended far beyond her professional endeavors. Jade loved the Lord.  She looked forward to singing at Marmaduke First Church, where her melodious voice graced the choir, and her presence was a source of joy and inspiration.

Jade's passion for music, particularly gospel, was a testament to her faith and the comfort she found in its melodies. Her artistic talents were many. Her love for both flower and vegetable gardening showcased her ability to foster growth and beauty in the world.

A true animal lover, Jade's compassion knew no bounds. She opened her heart and home to many stray animals, including pigs and ducks, providing them with love and sanctuary. Her generosity was not limited to animals; Jade was a giver in the purest sense. She dedicated time to distribute food and warm weather items to the homeless, purchasing supplies with her own resources.  In addition to serving the homeless, she cooked and fed recovering addicts on weekends.

Travel was another of Jade's joys. She had an affinity for Guam, a place that held a special place in her heart as her favorite travel destination. Her family lovingly referred to her as "water girl" for the happiness she found by the ocean or any body of water. The tranquility and vastness of the sea mirrored the depth and calm of her own spirit.

In every aspect of her life, Jade exemplified the values of kindness, creativity, and selflessness. Her legacy is one of love, service, and the courage to make a difference. Though her time with us was cut short, the impact of her actions and the warmth of her spirit will continue to resonate with those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Jade was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter Kovacs and Alan Burlingame; and uncle, Lance Burlingame.

Survivors include her parents, Scott and Jennifer Burlingame; brother and sister-in-law, Scott Burlingame, II and Seda; nephew, Scott Burlingame III; grandparents, Donna and Gary Kruso, Edith Therrien, and Eileen Burlingame; uncle and aunt, Dr. Alan Burlingame II and Cathy; and her best friend like a sister, Marissa Evans and her baby, Emylia Evans.
