James "J.D." Flanrey, 81, passed away July 13, 2017. He was born August 27, 1935, to Dossie and Alice Flanrey. James was a member of Brown's Chapel Church and was active in Sr. Bee's. He enjoyed working outdoors, fishing and camping. James cherished spending time with his family and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Reba Flanrey; and a son, Kevin Flanrey.

Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Marcia and Hal Nelson; two sisters and brothers in law, Reba Gross, of Clearwater, KS and Gerlene and AJ Black, of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren, Ryan Flanrey, T.J. Nelson and Sara Bassett; and four great grandchildren, Carter Flanrey, Matilynn Bassett, Mack Bassett and Xavier Carroll.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 15, from 12 – 2 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. At 2 p.m. there will be a procession to the graveside service at Wood's Chapel Cemetery with Royce Boling officiating.
