James Henry Garner, 81, of Paragould passed away February 29, 2012 at The MED in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born May 18, 1930 in Paragould to Albert Clyde and Orah Della (Rowe) Garner. He was of Church of Christ faith and a Watchmaker- Jeweler by trade.  In his younger years, James enjoyed beekeeping and skydiving. He was always looking for some new places to hunt and fish.Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ivie Josephine (Ellington) Garner; one brother, Curtis Garner; two sisters, Marcella Hanley and Wava Sims.He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, William Henry "Hank" and Leslie (Garnier) Garner of Camas, Washington; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Darlene Garner of Paragould; three grandchildren, Sarah Ellington, Kate Leigh Garner, and Leah Halverson Garner.The family will receive friends, 12 – 2 PM, Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2PM with Emmett Smith officiating. Burial will be at Woods Chapel Cemetery.The Garner family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Jerry Winemiller, Brian Oden, Kim McDonald, Air Evac, Arkansas Methodist Ambulance Service, The University of Tennessee – Memphis Burn Unit, and the Volunteer Firefighters.The family would appreciate your support of the Western Greene County Fire District.
