James Edward Hackworth, 62, of Paragould, Arkansas, departed this life on January 2, 2015 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. He was born July 31, 1952 in Kennett, Missouri. Mr. Hackworth enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching movies. He was affiliated with Monette Church of Christ and members who were dear to his heart. He was a resident of Green Acres Nursing Center of Paragould.Preceding him in death were his parents, Elmo and Betty Hackworth and Leroy and Ellere Johnston.He is survived by his wife, Lana Hackworth; two daughters and sons in law, Tammie and Sam Hiser of Jonesboro and Toni and Jeff Beck of Walnut Ridge; three brothers and sisters in law, Dennis and Dianne Johnston, Elmo "JR" and Karen Hackworth, of Paragould, and Robert Ellison of Kennett; three sisters and brothers in law, Brenda and Kenny Lowe, Pam and Leroy Jr. Ellis, and Melinda and Rick Dawson, all of Paragould; six grandchildren, Zachary, Talissa, Luke, Ethan, Corbit, Carleigh; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00, Monday, January 5, 2015 at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
