James “Jim” Edward Haught, Jr., age 65 of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away on July 9th, 2026 at NEA Baptist hospital in Jonesboro.

Jim was born on May 7th, 1961, in New Britain, Connecticut to James Haught Sr. and Carol Scibek-Haught. He grew up in Colorado and attended Harding University in Searcy. He served as a minister for Churches of Christ for 38 years and taught for five years at the Bawcom Learning Center at Children’s Homes in Paragould.

Jim was a lifelong fan of Chicago Cubs baseball.

He is survived by his wife Diane, children Amanda Carter and John of Commanche, Texas, Nicolas Haught and Sarah of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Benjamin Haught of Paragould, and Emily Dunn and Parker of Commanche, Texas, grandchildren Deacon, Madeline, and Lawson of Fayetteville, a sister Eve Bell and Mark of Cambridge, Nebraska, brothers David Haught and Randi of Laramie, Wyoming and Frank Haught and Kristin of Aurora, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Carol.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, July 16th at 10:00 AM at Grace Point Church of Christ in Jonesboro, AR with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM. Flowers may be sent to 450 Apple Street in Paragould, AR.
