James Earl Mosley, 86, of Paragould passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.  He was born February 9, 1930, to Waymon and Irene Mosley.  Earl was a Combat Engineer in the U.S. Army and worked as a switchman for the Norfolk and Western Railroad.  He was of Baptist faith.  Earl enjoyed spending time restoring old cars and doing mechanic work.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clyda Mosley; brothers, Junior and Bob Mosley; and sister, Dorothy Hendrix.

Survivors include his sons, Michael D. Mosley, of St. Louis, MO, and Philip E. Mosley and his wife, Joanna, of Grand Prairie, TX; daughter, Brenda K. Kirby and her husband, Clark, of O'Fallon, MO; grandchildren, Sarah Smith, Bryan Kirby, Adam Mosley, Rebecca Mosley, and Benjamin Mosley.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 3, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home.  Burial with military honors will follow at Providence Cemetery.

Earl's grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
