James H. Nelson, 57, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020. He was born May 21, 1963, to Carl Stacey and Lucy Barnes. James was quick witted and always said what was on his mind. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Reds, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He loved listening to Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash. James loved animals and his family.

James was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his stepfather, Wendell Barnes; sons, James Edward Nelson, Jacob Aaron Weatherford; brother, R. David Nelson; sisters, Linda Gail Brown, Lisa R. Cook; and grandchildren, Jude and Julian Weatherford.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 25, from 2:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.
