James E. Parks, 82, of Paragould, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021. He was born June 26, 1938, to J. Y. and Flora Parks. Everything that James did, it was done right. He was retired from the National Guard and a member of 7th & Mueller Church of Christ.
James was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Sue Lane Parks; brother, Johnny W. Parks; and sister, Mary Jo Terry.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters in law, Sammy J. and Kathy Parks, David and Judy Parks; and sister, Letha (Parks) Utley.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 10, from 12:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Richard Lashey and Rick Ethridge officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Heights Cemetery.
Ronnie Taylor, Blaine Nunn, Jacob Nunn, Bill Keasler, Frank Reddick, Tim Dean, and Gary Cupp will serve as pallbearers.
