James Jr. Phelps, 55, of Marmaduke, AR, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. James loved hunting and fishing with his boys and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Howe; brother, Charles "Chuck" Howe; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include his sons, Jimmy (Tabitha) Phelps of Pocahontas and Kalan Phelps of Marmaduke. He was blessed with two grandsons, Colt Phelps and Jameson Phelps. Survivors also include his father, James Phelps of Paragould; his beloved stepfather, Kenneth Howe; brother, Lyle Phelps of Michigan; sisters, Vickie (Omer) Travis of Reyno, Melissa Travis of Paragould, and Michelle Oien of Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.
