James Leonard Woodman, 78, of Paragould, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022. He was born December 1, 1943, to Leonard and Marie Woodman. James was a very selfless person that always put everyone else first. He enjoyed going to basketball games and watching the Razorbacks play. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and working on old cars. James loved to watch his grandchildren play sports, spending time with his family, and enjoyed taking them out to eat.

James was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sybil Jo Woodman; and his infant twin brother.

Survivors include his children, Jamie Woodman, James Kenneth "Kenny" Woodman, and Pam Carr (Johnny); grandchildren, Brandi Branscum, Jessica Woodman, Ashley Prestidge, Alan Cox, Sara Woodman, Kody Winstead, Garrett Woodman, Jackson Carr, Hannah Woodman, Gatlin Woodman, Kaylee Carr; eleven great-grandchildren; and a half-brother, John Woodman.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 12, from 2:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Tim Bassing officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.

Jackson Carr, Garrett Woodman, Gatlin Woodman, Anthony Tucker, Johnny Carr, and Gary Tucker will serve as pallbearers.
